Silence, Suppression and Deprivation MEET Joy, Bliss and PLEASURE
Because you have known Deep Pain this means you also have the capacity to know DEEP JOY
We’ve had to be so strong. When on autopilot, we anticipate that something is going to be harder than it actually is. ( I have to always disrupt that one).
I was in a Women’s group for over ten years in which we would bring pain, challenges, and old wounds to work through and be witnessed in. They were deeply life changing group experiences for me, extremely precious. I never forgot early on when one women said she want to celebrate something.
Back then I was always deep inside a release cycle. I had never even considered that these groups were also a place to celebrate and be seen in my Joy. I was so used to being inside of the pain/wound and healing. I wasn’t allowing enough space to fully feel what I had cleared out. To revel in the expansion and freedom I had created around me.
Shame created a massive blindspot as I willingly showed up with my grit and my will and plunged into my deep shadow. Making it far harder than it needed to be. As I Jumped off every cliff, climbed every mountain, and traversed every dark forest. I didn’t even realize that I didn’t need to go to every pain place and clear it all out. I would never clear it all out. I wasn’t meant to.
I humbly learned to slow down, to be curious, to bring reverence. The wounds; the shadowland are not a place to be conquered or colonized. It is a place to understand, a place to melt into compassion and emotion.
I also learned how to RECEIVE! I am forever learning, relearning and enjoying that one.
It is what WE do in the radiant circle. We need bliss, Joy, pleasure, FUN, harmony. To nourish and sustain us on our transformational journeys.
So maybe this time you’re actually still hungry after the appetizer, after your dinner and you want dessert. And this time it’s not indulgent, it’s not a guilty pleasure, and it’s not optional. It is truly the main course. I ordered the Cheesecake. Let’s Feast.
